I ♡ Birks

I have definitely got my money’s worth when it comes to my Birkenstocks. I thought I’d share a little collage of my styling of my Birks. They are even more versatile than I imagined and I really love them. It’s funny looking back how hesitant I was at first, because of how different they are from anything I’ve owned before. I thought to myself “am I really going to wear these?”. I’m so glad I took the plunge because they have been an absolute essential.

Save The Last Pinker x Fashion Addict Next Door: Week 2

Image

My inspiration for this week’s blog post is holographic accessories. It’s just so much fun – what’s not to love? It’s also surprisingly versatile and looks fab with any metal. Any item that adds a bit of fun and excitement to an outfit is OK by me.

I chose a black dress and shoes for so many reasons; 1) It’s black, enough said. 2) They still have a little something subtle going on. 3) How better to show off your accessories? But seriously, I love everything black. Monochrome is always my go-to look, and you always get so much wear out of pieces that are black or white because you can style them so many different ways without looking like you wear the same thing all the time. Black means longevity. You WILL get your money’s worth when it comes to anything black.

I’m sure you’re thinking, “just get to the bit about that incredible piece of jewellery already!”

Ok ok, I give in. Meet the ‘Large Moon Drop Ring’ by Amber Sceats. Incredible, huh? This piece is the most perfect cocktail ring I’ve ever seen. Silver is usually my metal of choice, so straight away it ticks that box for me, because I know it will go with my other jewellery. For those of you who normally wear gold, you’re lucky! Why? Because this is the kind of ring that commands your attention, therefore you can put your gold jewellery to bed for the night and take your incredible Amber Sceats cocktail ring for a spin instead. The navy blue colour of the rough-cut druzy crystal is mesmerizing – perfect for an evening look. It’s also adjustable, which is extremely convenient for those of us who have fingers that seem to sporadically change sizes. The ‘Large Moon Drop Ring’ by Amber Sceats is an absolute showstopper and doesn’t need to be supported by any other pieces. It was made to stand alone.

Save The Last Pinker x Fashion Addict Next Door: Week 1

Image

This is my first week as the guest blogger for the fabulous online boutique Save The Last Pinker, and may I just say, I couldn’t be happier to be selected!

My style edits will reflect my favourite pieces available on Save The Last Pinker, paired with pieces that I’m currently lusting after. This week’s inspiration is ripped denim. Whether it be giant rips in boyfriend jeans or busted knees on your fave pair of skinny’s, there’s no denying that ripped denim is the trend to follow this season.

Let’s talk about the jewels. Krystle Knight creates the most wonderful quartz pieces in silver and brass, and the quartz is always the hero of every piece. Her pieces are also incredibly versatile and are the perfect finishing touch for any outfit. The rings I selected for this outfit showcase a large piece of quartz set on a gorgeous brass band. Perfectly edgy and cool.

At the moment I’m loving a good pair of ripped jeans and black sandals. This week’s style edit is perfect for the transition from Summer to Winter, and each piece is an essential wardrobe item for the cooler months to come. I’m a big believer in investment pieces that you can wear to death. This outfit provides the perfect blank canvas to show off your fabulous Krystle Knight quartz jewels.

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Weekend Edition.

I was lucky enough to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week: Weekend Edition on the 12th of April (thank you Sunglass Hut!), and what a day it was!

ImageHere we are arriving at Carriageworks… I’m on the left and my gorgeous friend and fellow blogger Steph is on the right.

ImageFirst things first, my outfit!

What I wore: a black mesh stripe tee from Glassons, Bardot leatherette skirt, Kookai felt hat, Mac lipstick (‘Rebel’), Krystle Knight & Baby Anything jewels, and my trusty holographic clutch from Hello Parry.

ImageHere I am enjoying a complementary beverage in the Mercedes Benz Star Lounge… breakfast of champions!

ImageCarriageworks is an impressive venue and I can see why it was the obvious choice for fashion week in Sydney. During the show, we enjoyed a fabulous front row experience as well as a little gift bag. It was perfect for snapping pictures of the catwalk. Exhibit A: Talulah…
