Save The Last Pinker x Fashion Addict Next Door: Week 4

Image

Another delayed blog post from May as guest blogger for Save The Last Pinker. It has been a hard task, getting to drool over and write about stunning jewellery from luxe labels. *Sigh*

Blush pink is the colour of Autumn/Winter 2014. It’s the must have colour palette for your winter wardrobe. Pale pink coats have been a favourite of fashionistas at Fashion Week events all over the world. An oversized pink coat works beautifully from the office to after work drinks. Leather is a winter staple and lends itself perfectly to a monochrome look with a pop of pink.

Enter the Sphinx Rose Quartz Choker by Ella Maximillion – feel like the goddess you are in this stunning draped chain choker. The rose quartz crystal pendant dangles elegantly from the centre of the necklace. This 92.5 sterling silver necklace is the perfect piece to wear over a plain tee for a casual look, or with a shirt or blouse for the office or the evening. This piece will certainly get a workout because of it’s versatility – it is a subtle statement piece that you’ll never get tired of wearing. Compliment the necklace with a collection of fine silver rings and a pale pink lip to pick up the colour of the quartz. After all, on Wednesdays we wear pink!

Save The Last Pinker x Fashion Addict Next Door: Week 3

So I wrote this a few weeks ago but have been so flat out I haven’t had the chance to upload this on my blog! Following on from my previous post, I’m currently obsessed with black. And leather.

I’m wearing a very monochrome wardrobe at the moment and am enjoying every minute of it. This week’s post is inspired by leather. I’ve just ordered a pair of long, sexy over the knee boots which are going to be an absolute essential this Winter. I’m loving asymmetrical/origami hem skirts at the moment as well, which are the perfect friend for over the knee boots. Still on my list is an oversized winter coat in blush or grey.

The perfect jewels to wear with my winter outfit? Here:

This Pushmataaha pendant and ring are absolutely incredible. Something about the calcite feature stone reminds me of leopard print; I think it’s the combination of colours that I’m drawn to. I’m usually a silver wearer but I just couldn’t go past these 22k gold plated pieces. I can picture them being extremely versatile… wear them to work, to dinner, to cocktails, or over a plain white tee with jeans. The options are endless. I love that the necklace is on a long chain with a drop of 41cm, because I think it makes the piece more wearable and enables you to dress the piece down more easily for a casual look. I always gravitate towards necklaces on long chains because they are so chic and effortless.

However you choose to wear the ‘Nubian Pendant’ and ‘Babylon Ring’, one thing’s for sure: they are absolute winners and you need them in your life now.

Save The Last Pinker x Fashion Addict Next Door: Week 2

Image

My inspiration for this week’s blog post is holographic accessories. It’s just so much fun – what’s not to love? It’s also surprisingly versatile and looks fab with any metal. Any item that adds a bit of fun and excitement to an outfit is OK by me.

I chose a black dress and shoes for so many reasons; 1) It’s black, enough said. 2) They still have a little something subtle going on. 3) How better to show off your accessories? But seriously, I love everything black. Monochrome is always my go-to look, and you always get so much wear out of pieces that are black or white because you can style them so many different ways without looking like you wear the same thing all the time. Black means longevity. You WILL get your money’s worth when it comes to anything black.

I’m sure you’re thinking, “just get to the bit about that incredible piece of jewellery already!”

Ok ok, I give in. Meet the ‘Large Moon Drop Ring’ by Amber Sceats. Incredible, huh? This piece is the most perfect cocktail ring I’ve ever seen. Silver is usually my metal of choice, so straight away it ticks that box for me, because I know it will go with my other jewellery. For those of you who normally wear gold, you’re lucky! Why? Because this is the kind of ring that commands your attention, therefore you can put your gold jewellery to bed for the night and take your incredible Amber Sceats cocktail ring for a spin instead. The navy blue colour of the rough-cut druzy crystal is mesmerizing – perfect for an evening look. It’s also adjustable, which is extremely convenient for those of us who have fingers that seem to sporadically change sizes. The ‘Large Moon Drop Ring’ by Amber Sceats is an absolute showstopper and doesn’t need to be supported by any other pieces. It was made to stand alone.

Save The Last Pinker x Fashion Addict Next Door: Week 1

Image

This is my first week as the guest blogger for the fabulous online boutique Save The Last Pinker, and may I just say, I couldn’t be happier to be selected!

My style edits will reflect my favourite pieces available on Save The Last Pinker, paired with pieces that I’m currently lusting after. This week’s inspiration is ripped denim. Whether it be giant rips in boyfriend jeans or busted knees on your fave pair of skinny’s, there’s no denying that ripped denim is the trend to follow this season.

Let’s talk about the jewels. Krystle Knight creates the most wonderful quartz pieces in silver and brass, and the quartz is always the hero of every piece. Her pieces are also incredibly versatile and are the perfect finishing touch for any outfit. The rings I selected for this outfit showcase a large piece of quartz set on a gorgeous brass band. Perfectly edgy and cool.

At the moment I’m loving a good pair of ripped jeans and black sandals. This week’s style edit is perfect for the transition from Summer to Winter, and each piece is an essential wardrobe item for the cooler months to come. I’m a big believer in investment pieces that you can wear to death. This outfit provides the perfect blank canvas to show off your fabulous Krystle Knight quartz jewels.
